Start by adding 2 tablespoons of butter to the pot of your rice cooker.
Turn on the rice cooker and melt the butter.
Once the butter is melted, add 1/3 cup of dry orzo pasta to the pot.
Stir the orzo for a few minutes until it begins to turn a golden-brown color.
Add the rinsed Jasmine rice and 2 cups of chicken broth to the pot.
Sprinkle in the dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, ground turmeric, dried parsley, and salt.
Give everything a good stir.
Close the rice cooker's lid and let it run its cooking cycle. The cooker will automatically switch to the Warm setting once the rice is done.
Once the cooker switches to Warm, carefully remove the lid.
Take a fork and gently fluff up the rice and serve.
